Just got back from Toronto yesterday. Ben drove the 9 hours so I could see a foot and ankle specialist. Not much was resolved by going to the doctors, he kind of suggested two different surgeries that I could do. He seemed to think it was a mechanical problem and would not be fixed without surgery. I am not going to have surgery I will take the year to see how it really feels. I am going to manage my workouts and still plan on heading overseas for a bit to get some games in. Still talking with the agent and weighing the options.
While in Toronto we went to the hockey hall of fame it was pretty fun. Although Ben was quite dissapointed that there wasn't a big display on BU hockey winning the national championship, it was a little too small for his liking. We had a great time in the city walked around everywhere the weather was gorgeous.
Check out the CB blog I updated my happenings for the month.

Saturday Ben, myself and his grandfather went to the UCONN football game. The games are a lot of fun, we also get to tailgate before which I love. After driving his grandfather home we grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed up to watch a soccer game.
Yesterday we were up in Boston to check out a BU hockey game the outcome wasn't great but the game was a lot of fun. Their arena is a great size and all the seats have great views. I think Boston is one of the few cities I would actually live in.

I have an appointment on Monday with a foot and ankle specialist in Toronto. While my ankle is feeling better after taking time off it will be nice to get another opinion. Ben is driving me up which is great because flights were over 1000 for the weekend! Sadly Michelle will not be in town so I don't get to hang out with her.

Overseas, haven't heard too much going on so I could be waiting until after Christmas. I don't mind that at all, the break has been good so far.

My parents are moving!! This still shocks me but their court thing went well and they get possession on the 31st. They are going to do a little work on the house before they move in but by the middle of November I will have a room! They are pretty excited about the move I have had a few skype dates detailing all the pictures they have of the house. I love home improvement projects so I have been following along with all their ideas. I have big plans of hanging up my nice clothes and really organizing my rubbermaids!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! I was a little bummed not to be home for mom's amazing cooking and to add insult they had back to back turkey dinners. Maybe it was for the best as I am not working out too hard right now!
I did get to chat with my grandma on skype... mom and dad brought her upstairs for a video chat, the look on her face was priceless. She was just staring at me the whole time confused! The technology was a lot for her. I also got to see my aunt and uncle and cousins and have a quick chat with them so I felt like I was at home.
Mom and dad find out on Thursday if they will be moving houses, kind of crazy but if they get this new house I will apparently have more room for all my junk! I may be the only 25 year old that gets excited about having a room in their parents house. If only I knew where I wanted to live I could buy a house myself.
There was a team in France that was potentially interested but I am thinking it may have fallen through so the waiting for a job continues!

Not much has changed around here, enjoying the beautiful fall weather. I have been resting a lot a sporadic workout here and there but nothing on the court! I still have a large bruise on my hip/butt so I guess I should be a little more patient with my foot. Things in CT are going well, raked some leaves today which is actually a good workout!
This is Ben's favorite time of year; football, BU hockey, uconn soccer, and the Sox are in the playoffs. He did let me watch the office wedding tonight... hilarious I love that show!
Pretty bummed I am missing out on my Canadian Thanksgiving this year there is nothing like mom's cooking!! I still have no idea what my future holds so I am waiting, not really sure what I actually want!

I am back... I am sure you all know we qualified for worlds! Made the whole summer worth it! I am back in CT now after a brief stop in Toronto to get my new teeth! They feel amazing, I have not had the same size front teeth since grade 10 and they feel so smooth now! I am still kind of nervous to bite into anything, I am sure this will pass over time.
While in Toronto I also saw a doctor about my foot. Basically he wants to run another test, there is no cartilage left in the area that I am experiencing my pain but he wants to know why it would shoot up my shin. No answers for my stupid foot yet. I am torn about overseas I would like to go and make some money and play some games but I don't want to feel this sore everyday.
Ben and I were in Boston yesterday he found some cheap tickets to the Red Sox game! Boston is one of my favorite cities. We walked around, did a little shopping and I got to eat some great food!
The next week or so I will be trying to figure out what my plans are before Christmas so I will keep you posted!

Road trip...

Well the 12 days off went by so fast! Ben and I are packing up the car and heading to Canada tomorrow. We are stopping in Niagara Falls for the night it should be around 8 hours to get there. I have never been so I am excited to see it we are planning on doing the walk behind the falls on the US side before crossing the border and getting to the hotel on the Canadian side.
Thursday afternoon I have a dentist appointment, finally getting my tooth fixed!! I am going to the dentist in Toronto that fixed my tooth last time... she is really nice and did a great job last time. Thursday night Ben and I are going to hang out with Michelle she is now a TO resident. I am excited to see her new place downtown!

Sorry for the delay while I have had a lot of free time I have neglected the blog. The picture is of an incense tray in old Havana I thought it was pretty funny so I snapped a picture. THe games have been going well we lost the first one by eight but beat them handily in the second game... first win of the summer!!! I played okay in the first game just missed some shots I should make but played pretty well in the second one. We have been eating the same meal for the last week so I am really really excited to eat some salad and veggies.
Last game is tonight then fly out tomorrow morning 5 hour layover in TO then off to Hartford... I can't wait. My bags are already packed... a week's worth of nasty hand washed practice gear!!
