Prison call and a flight to Toronto

I am back in Toronto, made it here about 12am yesterday. My original flight got cancelled out of Abbotsford so it was a much later flight that we had to take. When I got the phone call I was just finishing getting ready over at Apollo dad was going to drive me from there, I wound up heading back home, the wonderful thing about the abby airport was that mom could drive me four hours later hwen I needed to be there. I was attemting to get on Ontario time so I worked out in the morning thus Apollo so I didn't want to nap really but since I was all packed up there seemed like nothing better to do at home. I was laying down when the phone rang so I picked it up and I had a collect call from (in a male voice tring to sound sexy and seductive the word) "Jay" came out sounding incredibly creepy. I was like okay pretty sure dads not doing that and then the lady said "this call is coming from a correctional institute" I hung up that phone so fast. My nap was over and ruined adn Kobe had to be let into the house because I was certain this creppy man was coming to get me... from prison.
The flight was good felt a little long, it had been a good 15 days since I had flown I guess I was out of it. My rolly bag is fantastic!
Practice this morning was good it was one of those where you feel so tired you don't always know what you are doing, remembering plays took some serious focus!
I am rooming with Ree (mom and dad that was for you!!)
I was a little dissapointed today because I tried to have my nap and I only slept for like an hour, I am out of sync for these training camps I am normally just waking up when we are down our first session... may take a couple of days.
I tried to post some pics got impatient so maybe next time.

Lonely last night!

Well Ben left last night... I hate all these goodbyes somedays I just really want a house and settle down a little! I was a little upset this morning so I went to Wal mart with Grandma and spent some money and then decided I should go back to mall to see if I could find some things, spent way too much money on books, suitcases, socks! Never a good idea to shop while you are a little upset. Packing now sad to be leaving BC, I really think I live in one of the most beautiful areas around not so excited for the scenery in Ontario but training camp should be great so I am off. I am sure I will have lots of time for updates while at camp!

Mission!!

Happy Birthday today Michelle!!!!!
Well I was thinking I should probably post but I couldn't recall what I had been doing the last couple of days. It has been very relaxing though I have yet to wake up before 930am... loving that. Took Ben to his first fish hatchery, although there wasn't much excitment as the salmon aren't quite spawning yet, but we did see some 8ft long sturgeon, looks kind of like a mini shark! We had a picnic lunch at Chehalis I just really wanted to go camping after that, so much fun! Did a few rounds of mini golf and batting cages at Wonderland... a really great place minus the mildew smell in the underground jungle golf area. We did that with Jen and Reagan so it was good to catch up with her finally!!
I got in two workouts with Mike and Allison and Ree and Dev. It was a lot of fun to play again and be coached hasn't happened in a while.
Biggest news I bought the Office season 3 it is fantastic only problem is that I can't stop watching them so sometimes 1 episode turns into 4!
Michelle comes into town tomorrow get to see her real quick and then we are headed into the big city for the weekend!

home safe and sound

Well we made it home safe and sound! I know I haven't posted in a while but the last two days in Sacramento went by fast. After we lost we came back the next morning and I was working on 2 hours of sleep but I really wanted to get home so I didn't take much of a nap so I could get things rolling. I went to the dentist to get my mouthguard and cleaned up and started packing. The next day was exit interviews which went alright and then back to the dentist get my exit physical. Which I passed with flying colours, even the second x-ray my bones have healed!! I said my goodbyes and got to hang out with Jeff, Getti, and the baby that night which was a lot of fun. We anticipated an early start but a few drinks the night before and not being able to load up the car (it is Natomas we didn't want all our belongings stolen) meant we left around 1130! I was still ambitious we could get to Portland, Ben made fun of me because after about 3 hours I was kind of hurting and I realized this was the longest stretch of time I have driven for! We stopped at Lake Shasta for lunch at a great little black bear diner, drove around the town and took off again with Ben taking over the wheel.
We stopped in Eugene that night Ben loves college towns, he got to run a lap of Hayward field and we got a good rest to start up the next morning. Ben did all the driving on day 2 I think he really wanted to drive across the border and of course we got pulled in! Ben thinks he is now Canada's most wanted! He looked like he was lying and we had a car full of crap! We made it safe and sound and it is good to be home!!

I am coming home!!!!

Well we lost in a heartbreaker tonight so I am heading home soon!!! I am not totally sure when I will be back, I have to do exit physicals and interviews and what not. I am thinking maybe leaving Saturday or Sunday and Ben and I will make the drive up... can't wait!!

Stolen Shoes!!!

So today I showed up for practice and to my surprise somebody had stolen my basketball shoes!! I was the only one who had their shoes stolen we always leave our gear in the locker room and somebody had taken my shoes right from my locker. I had to take a pair from the Silver Stars and they didn't have my kind so they hurt my feet a little and I am not liking them but good news is that I can get a new pair of mine back in Sac. The security men are on it we have photographed a shoe like mine documented that I tie my laces different and people are on it!! I was laughing because it doesn't seem like that big of a deal but it really is I guess they have had problems with people stealing the Spurs jerseys taking htem out in garbage bags so they are all business about my shoes. I said somebody knew if I got activated this series would be over so they wanted to make sure i would still be on the bench!!
Game 3 tomorrow NBA TV 6pacific time!!!!!

A win and A loss!!!

Alright so we opened playoffs on a tear, same thing as last year just a completely different team. We played harder, smarter and really just a new level of basketball compared to the beginning of the year. We smoked San Antonio in by about 20 and I was thinking it was about to be another long run in the playoffs. Then we played today... they were the different team and kicked our booties! It all comes down to game 3 Monday do or die time so I will either be back in beautiful BC this next weekend or still in Sac playing some more ball!!

I was doing my workout today when one of our assistants was working out and asking me about overseas and all that, then he told me that I was a great player and I have a really bright future in this league and don't let this year get to me because it doesn't mean anything! I can not even explain that really made my day!
If we won I would have been back in Sac today celebrating Bens bday with him but instead we are still in SA and Ben is on the road heading to LA to catch up with some college buddies. Since the game was early Sho, Fro and I headed to the river walk and took a boat tour through Fro's convincing. We picked the right boat... there was a man in one of those scooter things so that was an all out production trying to get him on the boat... really I was terrified he was going to fall into the river on this machine and drown. After many directions and cheering on (yes Fro was clapping) he got in and our tour began. It gets better as soon as we pulled into the flood canal the motor went dead, we really thought this was part of the joke but no we bumped into the wall and called the maintenance boat. We were told we may have to switch boats if maintenance can't fix it. We are in the deepest part of the river with a man on a scooter there is no way we can jump boats. Thank goodness the motor was up and running and we avoided that disaster. The 10 minute delay went by quickly as the drunken ladies calling out for more margaritas proved to be quite entertaining!
